Project Overview
This stunning stamped and colored concrete patio transformed a rough, uneven backyard into a stylish and durable patio to handle our Northern Colorado climate: Proper drainage, solid ground compaction, and materials that hold up. By focusing on every step of our preparation and design, we delivered a finished result the homeowner truly appreciated.
Installation Process
Excavation & Preparation: We started by removing the old top soil, grading the ground and compacted the base
Structural Foundation: Added gravel sub-base for drainage and installed #3 rebar for reinforcement and long term performance.
Concrete Pouring: We poured a 4,000 PSI air‑entrained mix with fiber additive, then properly hand vibrated and consolidated the slab to eliminate any air pockets and prevent honeycombing, these are critical steps for long‑term performance in Colorado’s freeze‑thaw climate.
Stamping & Texturing: The concrete was integrally colored at the local plant, then we stamped the surface with a professional‑grade texture mat once it reached ideal firmness. One week later, we returned to the property to wash the surface and apply a high‑quality sealer for long‑term protection.

This completed project produced a uniform, full‑depth color tone thanks to the integrally colored mix, paired with a well‑defined stamped texture that provides both visual appeal and functional traction. The slab cured properly with no surface defects, and the premium sealer enhanced the color depth, while providing a durable barrier against moisture and the harsh weather we deal with here in Northern Colorado. A thorough site cleanup restored the area to a clean, safe condition, and our final walkthrough confirmed texture consistency, precise saw-cut lines, and overall finish quality.
